Holiday Service
There is no train service on
Sunday or the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial
Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas
Parking
A
commuter parking lot is available to the public on a first
come basis for a minimal daily fee ($1.25 / per day pay
on-site).
One year and 6 month parking permits are also available at
the Kaptur Administrative Center.

Metra Parking Placard
Application
The Village of Palos Park is selling Metra Parking Placards
on a monthly, semi-annual and annual basis. Payment can be
made either by check, cash or credit card. The Metra Parking
Placards may be purchased at the Palos Park Village Hall,
8999 West 123rd Street, Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. and at Crooked Arrow in the Palos Park Metra
Station from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Fill out application,
include your payment and drop it in the drop box at the
Village Hall. If you have any questions please call
708-671-3700.
Placards must be placed in the lower driver’s side corner of
vehicle’s front window.
The placard, like the daily cash payment method, is valid
only Monday through Friday from ½ hour prior to the first
inbound train to Chicago until a ½ hour after the last
outbound train from Chicago. It does not cover overnight or
weekend parking. Please note that having a placard does not
guarantee a parking space.

A Payment Drop box is located at the Metra Station outside
the main entrance on the east side of the building.
Kaptur Administrative Center
A Payment Drop Box is located on the east side of the Kaptur
Administrative Center’s parking lot. Residents can drop off
utility bills, parking citations, and recreation
registration.

Provides service from the Midway Airport CTA
Orange Line Station along major
commercial/industrial artery of Harlem
Avenue to 127th. Includes rush hour service
to 127th and Homan. Alternate trips during
rush hour, and all midday trips, operate to
Orland Square Shopping Center. Also serves
the 5th Municipal District Courthouse, Worth
Metra Station, Toyota Park and Playfield
Plaza. In addition, Toyota Park Express
trips provide direct service to Chicago Fire
games and selected other events at Toyota
Park in Bridgeview from the Midway Airport

P.A.T.S.E. Bus
Service
P.A.T.S.E. is the door to door bus service for senior
citizens, free of charge.
Donations are Appreciated. Call (708)430-3822 between 8am
and 3pm at least one day in advance. The dispatcher will
schedule the bus to take you to your destination and to pick
you up and return you to your home. The boundaries for this
service are 87th street., Pulaski Ave., 135th St. and Wolf
Road.
RTA
Senior Ride Free Program
Palos Park’s Kaptur Administrative Center is now
a registration site for the Senior Ride Free
Smart Card. During the registration process,
applicants will be required to present
government issued identification, such as, a
state issued ID, driver’s license or passport to
verify their age as well as have a photo taken.
Applying for the Senior Ride Free Smart Card can
only be done in person and will take about 3-4
weeks to process. There is no fee for residents
of Palos Park. A $10 processing fee will be
charged for non-residents. |
