Wednesday, March 6 – Sunday, March 10
Open to the public: 10:00am – 4:00pm
General Admission: $12, $10 (members)
Veterans, Military, Students and Children under 18: Free

World War II… a WORLD war involving more than 30 countries with more than 50 million casualties. For younger generations it might be hard to imagine the turmoil and hardships of the years between 1939 and 1945. Now members of our community will give visitors an opportunity to learn about this global conflict through their private collections of museum quality artifacts. Documents signed by FDR, Eisenhower, Truman and Hitler and uniforms and helmets from German, Japanese, Canadian, British, and American soldiers are among the items that will be on display. This exhibit will provide time for young and old to reflect on the events that changed the modern world. Along with the exhibit McCord would like to honor local veterans of WWII and their families. Almost everyone has heard stories from parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles about events in their lives during the war years. Would you like to share your story or stories of your loved one’s experiences? Do you have memorabilia that you would like to have included in the exhibit? Please contact the McCord office at (708)671-0648.
