Citizen on Patrol Service (COPS)
This volunteer organization meets to help officer's patrol the village. They meet the second Wednesday of each month at the Palos Park Police Department. Volunteers needed.

 

Curfew Hours in Palos Park
Village Ordinance, Section 656.01, states that persons under the age of 18 may not be in any public area, street or building unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian between 10:30 pm (11:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays) and sunrise of the next day. Parents are held responsible for any illegal activity by a minor child.

 

ANIMAL TAGS 
Dog tags are required for all dogs residing in the Village of Palos Park.  Dog tags may be purchased at the Kaptur Administrative Center, 8999 W. 123rd Street – the Administrative Offices of the Village.  Hours are Mondays 9:00AM to 8:00PM, and Tuesdays through Fridays 9:00AM to 5:00PM.  The cost is $5.00 per tag, and owners should bring their rabies tag number with then when registering a pet.

CLOSED HOME REPORTS
If you are leaving for vacation, in the process of selling a home, or otherwise in control of a property that will be closed up and/or vacant for an extended period of time, please inform the Police Department by stopping by our offices at 8999 W. 123rd Street.  Hours are Mondays 9:00AM to 8:00PM, and Tuesdays through Fridays 9:00AM to 5:00PM. The Police Department will record the information, including the length of the vacancy, emergency contacts, key holders, and so forth.  Additional information may include the location and use of timer lights on the premises, and if you are authorizing any friends, relatives or associates to be on your property or in your home, for example, to pick up mail.  Forms for reporting this information are available at the Police Department.  All information is kept strictly confidential
